Offerings for the Interior and Exterior Artwork of Ati Jangchub Choeling Monastery

The interior and exterior artwork of Ati Jangchub Choeling Monastery will be created by skilled traditional artisans preserving the rich artistic heritage of Vajrayana Buddhism.

These sacred works will include traditional carpentry, sacred paintings, and distinctive architectural ornaments. Each offering provides an opportunity to support the creation of a beautiful and enduring monastery that will serve as a place of practice, learning, devotion, and blessings for generations to come.

1.Sertog (Golden Roof Ornaments of the Temple)

The Sertog, the sacred golden roof ornament of a Vajrayana Buddhist temple, is adorned with intricate designs representing the Five Archetypal Buddhas. These distinctive ornaments are an important architectural and spiritual feature of the temple.

Ati Jangchub Choeling Monastery will have three separate roofs, each symbolizing one

of the Three Jewels:

Central Roof — Buddha: A 10-foot-tall Sertog. Sponsored

Left Roof — Dharma: A 5-foot-tall Sertog — $2,500

Right Roof — Sangha: A 5-foot-tall Sertog — $2,500

Offering Amount for Two Sertogs: $5,000

The central 10-foot Sertog has already been generously sponsored.

2. Ridag Choe Khor (Dharma Wheel with Two Deer)

The Dharma Wheel, flanked by a male and female deer, symbolizes the Buddha’s first teaching, given at the Deer Park in Varanasi. This sacred combination—the Dharma Chakra at the center with two deer—is also a universal emblem traditionally adorning Vajrayana Buddhist temples.

Ati Jangchub Choeling Monastery will feature one complete set of this sacred symbol:

Dharma Wheel: $2,800

Male Deer: $2,000

Female Deer: $2,000

Total Offering Amount: $6,800

3. Traditional Carpentry

Skilled Bhutanese artisans will carry out the traditional carpentry work throughout all three floors, including the construction and installation of altars, doors, windows, and other related woodwork.

Labor: 3 skilled artisans for 5 months — $11,250

Materials: Plywood, glass, nails, and other related carpentry materials — $8,500

Total Estimated Cost: $19,750

4. Sacred Decorative Work

Expert Nepalese artisans will create the intricate sacred decorative elements throughout the structure, including carved beams, pillars, moldings, and detailed exterior ornamentation.

Labor: 5 skilled artisans for 5 months — $18,750

5. Sacred Painting Artwork

Traditional sacred artists will create detailed Buddhist artwork throughout the temple. The work will include ceiling mandalas on the first floor, as well as paintings of deities and lineage masters on the temple walls. The scope also includes the sacred painting of the third-floor ceiling and walls.

Labor: 5 skilled painters for 5 months — $18,750

Painting Materials: Natural pigments, paints, brushes, preparation materials, and

other related supplies — $8,000

Total Estimated Cost: $26,750

6. Traditional Puja Tables 

Traditional puja tables will be provided throughout all three floors of Ati Jangchub Choeling Monastery:

First Floor: 80 tables

Second Floor: 30 tables

Third Floor: 10 tables

Total: 120 tables

Cost per table: $50, including materials, craftsmanship, and painting

Grand Total: $6,000

7. Rectangular Floor Cushions and Traditional Carpets

All three floors of Ati Jangchub Choeling Monastery will be furnished with traditional rectangular floor cushions and carpets to provide comfortable seating for practitioners and visitors during prayers, teachings, and ceremonies.

Each rectangular cushion and traditional carpet set is designed to comfortably

accommodate three people.

Number of Cushions: 55

Cost per Cushion: $30

Cushion Cost: $1,650

Number of Traditional Carpets: 55

Cost per Traditional Carpet: $100

Carpet Cost: $5,500

Grand Total: $7,150
